Happy Two Year Anniversary, My Little Pony: FiM

Today, it's been 2 years since the 4th iteration of "My Little Pony" has debuted on The Hub.

Who whould have thought that a cartoon about colorful ponies could create such a sensation to start a whole new movement? In these past two years, social boundaries were broken, society's norms were altered, friendships were formed, lifetime memories were created, art and music were made to help celebrate this new phenomenon, but above all:

A creative, unique, incredible, and bright new community was born.

A community where we would not be judged regardless of our interests, gender, race, nationalities and orientations. A community born out of the appreciation and dedication that the creators have put in every episode, for the purpose of sharing what it is they love so much about the charming characters, camaraderie, and happiness.

Never in my life have I seen such an advanced level of escapism in a fictional universe. The creators who have succeeded in harnessing this level of escapism proved that they could change the world by rocking the foundations of gender stereotypes, while inspiring and motivating thousands and millions of fans in the process, me being one of them.

Some have been along for the ride since day 1, others may have joined only recently. But those gaps are null and void when the enjoyment and fun one gets from being a part of is timeless and universal.

Today is a day to celebrate and appreciate what was given to us as a fandom and a community as a whole. A wonderful show that helps brings others together, tailored by a talented crew that is incredibly close with the fans.

Happy two year anniversary, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Thank you for showing the world that cartoons don't have to be for little girls, and can be universal. Both male and female.
